Description
How this workbook actually fits into the program
Our hybrid phlebotomy program is structured so that online lecture modules align chapter by chapter with the main Hartman’s textbook. The workbook sits alongside both — you complete the reading, watch the module, then work through the corresponding workbook exercises before the next session.
By the time you walk into lab for your first supervised draw, you’ve processed the core content three separate times. That’s not accidental. Students who arrive in lab having only watched the online modules are noticeably less confident with terminology and clinical sequencing than those who’ve completed the workbook exercises too.
A common mistake
Treating the workbook as optional extra study material. It isn’t — it’s half the learning model. Students who skip it consistently hit gaps during practical sessions that slow them down and sometimes trip them up on clinical assessments.
This workbook requires the main textbook
The exercises reference specific chapters and assume you’ve read the core material first. Buy both together unless you already have the main text.
